Photo Walk - July 26, 2010
The Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs will be meeting this Monday July 26, 2010 at the Taber Museum. This month we are starting the meeting a little early, about 6:15 pm. The reason for this is we are going to go on a photo walk. As in walking, talking and taking photos. We will leave the museum at 6:30 pm. The route is as follows: Start at Tabor and head West on 4th street “Millionaire’s Row” to the PCT WDCE Building. Proceed south to 3rd Street and the PCT Main Campus. Find your way East to Maynard Street. Proceed North on Maynard to 3rd Street. Turn East on 3rd to Campbell. North on Campbell to 4th at Park Home. Back West to Trinity Church. North on the brick road to the Peter Herdic Museum then West and into the back of the Tabor Museum. Please see the map below. Why not take some time off to relax and go for a walk. Hope to see you Monday. Thanks for supporting the Shutterbugs for 17 years!

President - Kevin Stroble Vice President - Darien Buxton Secretary - Jodi Binkley Treasurer - Wayne Palmer Meetings The Shutterbugs meet the fourth Monday of the month at the Lycoming County Historical Society 858 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 at 7:00 P.M. (When that date conflicts with a holiday, the meeting is usually rescheduled for the third Monday.) The meetings are open to the public. Annual dues are $24 per individual, $12 per student and $36 per couple. All dues are pro rated for new members. The normal 2-hour meetings are divided into two parts. During the first hour, club business, and refreshments are held. The second half consists of an educational program, which can range from an instructional video, featured guest speaker or a field trip to a local site of interest. So, whether you are 16 or 60, shoot with point and shoot, a digital SLR or even film on a 4x5, come join us! There is something of interest for everyone. Annual Photographic Displays In addition to monthly meetings, the Shutterbugs conduct two yearly photo shows, which are held at the Thomas Taber Museum. The Shutterbugs Annual Members Show is open to members only. Ribbon awards are issued based upon the results of popular choice voting held the evening of the show’s opening. All entries are displayed. The Annual Juried Show is open to non-members as well as members and is a juried competition. Cash prizes of $1500 make it the largest prize money awarded for and arts show in the area. Usually the number of entries for this show far exceed the wall space available, so simply being selected to be in the show is an honor. Both shows have a grand opening featuring a wine & cheese reception with proceeds benefiting the Lycoming County Historical Society.
