Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs

Minutes of March 27, 2006

 The monthly meeting of the Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs was at the museum with Vice-President Mike Hess presiding.  New members and guests introduced included:  Sharon Farr; Seth Weber; David Orth; Andrew Christoffel, Kaitlyn Charmbury, Charlotte Meddaugh and Tim Miller.

 Minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved.

 The treasurer reported that after all bills were paid to $1,159.00 remains the balance in the SVS account.

 Show Committee Report:  Chairperson Brent Shirk reported that drop off for the members Spring show is tonight, March 27.  Show opening is Friday, April 7.  We will prepare refreshments as in the past.  There will be ribbon awards as in the past for People’s Choice winners.  An email will go out from Deryl to get food donations.  Volunteers are needed for the food donations, serving food, set-up and clean up.  Show will be installed this Wednesday at 6:30 ad members are welcome to assist.

Program Report:

 Program:

     Paul Barrett, photographer teacher at Loyalsock High School, gave an interesting presentation on his photography teaching methodology.  He used a PowerPoint presentation to convey images of his students.

     Wayne Palmer brought refreshments including a birthday cake for SVS to celebrate its 13th birthday.  The members appreciated his thoughtfulness by eating the cake!
