Greetings,
It is July and we are into the second half of 2007.
It seems we never have time to do everything that we want to do.
This is also true with us here at the Shutterbugs.
But we hope that you will be able to make this month’s meeting.
It will be held Monday July 23, 2007 starting at 7:00 pm at the museum. The program will be presented by
Wayne Palmer, and is called "Our Trip for Amanda." In
2005, he and his wife Pamela Herrington took a trip to China to pick up their
daughter and complete the adoption process.
Although
sightseeing was not the purpose of the trip, with both Wayne and Pam being avid
photographers, they were not going to let this journey of a lifetime go
undocumented. While in China they visited 3 major cities, the Great Wall,
Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and made an emotional visit to the
orphanage their daughter came from.
Over 3200
images and 7 hours of video were condensed to this one-hour program about their
travels. This photo and video presentation is part travelogue, part
documentary, and it is part their personal journey to parenthood.
Come out and
support the club,
Kevin
