Rider Park Shoot Critique
On Saturday May 24th, members engaged in a photo shoot at Rider Park. The meeting will consist of a critique of those images. Come and learn.
Minutes
of the Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs May 22, 2006
President Kevin Stroble brought the meeting to order with 19 folks in
attendance. New people were welcomed.
Minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved. Treasurer Wayne
Palmer reported an estimated balance of $800.
Show committee member, Deryl reported that the show comes down after the
meeting with most pieces already picked up. All pieces left may be picked up at
our next meeting. The next show will be a juried show with winners receiving
monetary rewards. The date for the show has not been confirmed with the museum
but usually is on the 1st Friday of December. Photo drops will be in
early to mid November.
At the last meeting a ˝ day seminar on a weekend in June was discussed
with the Show committee asked to work out the details by our next meeting. But
due to poor attendance and the unavailability in June
of those members present, the committee recommended the seminar be moved
to next year or in September at the earliest. Kevin opened discussion about a
photo shoot on 6/24 or 6/25 as a variation of the seminar idea. We would shoot
with digital cameras learning as we go and show the results at the next meeting
on June 26, 2006. After some discussion it was agreed that we would meet at
Ryder Park overlooking the Loyalsock on Saturday June 24th@ 9:00 am.
Kevin will lead and all are invited.
New Business: David Orth suggested that the club develop a resource list
that members could consult when encountering a photo problem. This list would
consist of members who agreed beforehand to divulge their email addresses and
areas of expertise. We would then post it on our web site www.susquehannavalleyshutterbugs.org.
Kevin agreed with the suggestion and asked all who were interested to leave
their name and email address.
Charlotte Meddaugh offered to make “skirts” for the new garbage cans.
She was instructed to keep her receipts for reimbursement.
Meeting was adjourned after Tim Miller agreed to bring refreshments
for the next meeting on June 26, 2006.
Program: Wayne and Pam’s China Trip Part 1
