August 2007 Newsletter
The
Shutterbug members recently had a photo scavenger hunt.
Come to the August meeting and see a slideshow of what they found.
August
27, 2007 at 7:00 pm
All meetings are held at the Thomas Taber Museum on Fourth Street in Williamsport.
Minutes
from 07/23/07
President Kevin Stroble brought the
meeting to order at 7:04 pm. There
were 11 people in attendance. It
was noted that the club purchased a new floor mat for the museum’s side
entrance. The treasurer’s report
is posted on the website and has not changed since last month.
Members were reminded about the club picnic at Stephanie Carey’s home
on September 23, 2007. The picnic
will start at 2:00 pm with the meal being served at 4:00 pm.
The club will provide the burgers and dogs and members are asked to bring
a dish filled with food to pass. There is a small pond with lily pads and frogs,
so bring your camera!!! A very nice
program was presented by Wayne Palmer. It
was titled "Our Trip for
Amanda", A Photo/Video Presentation.
In
2005, he and his wife Pamela Herrington took a trip to China to pick up their
daughter and complete the adoption process.
Over 3200
images and 7 hours of video were condensed to the one-hour program about their
travels. The photo and video presentation was part travelogue, part
documentary, and it was part their personal journey to parenthood.
Next month’s program will be the showing of photos from the member’s
recent photo scavenger hunt.
