SVS Newsletter - August 2006
President’s
Letter
Greetings, summer is starting to wind down, I can feel it in the air. I hope you can make the August meeting. We have a nice program planned for you. A learning experience! Bruce Dart will be our presenter and here is what he has planned in his own words.
The August program of Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs will be a hands-on work session on portraitures. Bring your cameras. Bruce Dart, PPA Certified, Cr. Photographer, will lead a session on studio portraiture and then let members create some photos that we can download to a laptop and view before we leave. Ralph Wilson and Wayne Palmer will would provide lighting for two more stations. Ralph will have a setup for a one light and reflector type of lighting so there will be at least two backgrounds from which to photograph. Wayne will have a 3 light set up. Dart, a professional photographer for 30 years, was named "Photographer of the Year" last year for the Northeast PA Professional Photographers Association.A reminder that in September we will not be having a meeting, but instead, a picnic at Deryl Maruschak’s cabin. This is open to all members and their guests. Please plan to attend.
Thanks,
Kevin
