September Newsletter

Greetings, a reminder that the Shutterbugs will be holding their monthly meeting this Monday night September 24, 2007 at 7:00 pm.  As always the meeting will be held at the museum on Fourth Street in Williamsport.

This month's featured speaker will be Wayne Palmer of Palmer Multimedia Imaging.  Wayne will be giving instructions in Adobe Photoshop to anyone with an interest in the program.  If you are having a problem with a specific photo, bring along a copy on a cd or flash drive.  So, if you are still in a fog over Photoshop, come to the meeting Monday and see if Wayne can clear the air for you.

Kevin Stroble brought the meeting to order with 14 people present.

 9/23/07Annual picnic @ Stephanie Carey’s; bring a dish; the club will provide the meat; Kevin will email all details.

July minutes read and approved.

Show Committee- Numerous pictures from previous shows have not been picked up. Deryl Maruschak suggested calling  and emailing the photographers and asking them to pick up their works at one of the next 2 meetings. What works have not been picked up will be raffled off to those in attendance at the end of October’s meeting.

_____________ won numerous ribbons at the Western Union County Fair.

Pinhole Photography was discussed as a possible program. Darlla Karchella offered to present a hands-on program as she did for the Clinton County Photography Club.

Kevin suggested that all bring one of their special/favorite/most important pictures next month. It will be shared with other members.

Kevin passed out an article on child photography dos and don’ts this day and age.

Tim Miller announced his show opening the 1^st Friday in October at Gastonia Gifts and shared some of the show’s 13x19 proofs.

Meeting adjourned afterwards the scheduled program of member’s scavenger hunt shots were reviewed. This year’s categories were: affection, entranceways, eyes, five, and weird.
